I just got my basic in Massachusetts but I go to school in New Orleans and am applying for reciprocity within the next month in Louisiana. I have done a few ride alongs but have not had any consistant full time experience. I see that you work for Acadian. Do you know if they are hiring now or N.O. EMS is. Also just coming out of basic this past summer, are they willing to hire EMT's new to the system?

I work for New Orleans EMS. We're on a hiring freeze right now, so you may want to try Acadian, West Jeff, East Jeff, or A-Med. Plaquemines and St Charles also have EMS services you could check out. I'm not sure of the hiring status of any other services, but you shouldn't have a difficult time finding something. Good luck!
