Washington is a decent sized state, and travelling over the passes is going to be tricky the next couple of months. How about some more specific location information so people can decide if they want to spend the effort to possibly travel to the work?

Did Falck take over AMR's king county contract? I sure as hell know they did not replace medic 1 ;-)

No. Falck is running a BLS/CCT service out of Sno County. I have a few friends from Rural/Metro who have defected.

I can't imagine AMR being dumped by Seattle anytime soon, they have a pretty good relationship far as i know. But no I'm not recruiting for Falck, but for Rural/Metro.

Also PREFERABLY State card holders!!! (for EMT)

And you can go ahead and apply online rather than PM me

Do your research first...

No offense Mr. [removed], but there is a reason that 30% of Rural/Metro’s workforce just quit and went to a competitor. The company is run by two managers who have no college education let alone degrees and simply do not know how to run a business. Not to mention management holds no one accountable because they are bullied by the Unions (yes plural, EMT, RN, and Dispatcher). The EMT union is in the midst of contract negotiation which so far has not gone well and two weeks ago they voted to authorize a strike. If you want to work for an unstable company that is financially crippled, doesn’t care about its employees and consistently makes promises it can’t keep then by all means…

Pretty creepy that you Googled my user name to find my real one! But no offense taken at all, everyone has every right to leave any company for any reason! Personally I have nothing against either company. I think Falck coming in is great for creating new jobs. How long has everyone in WA been saying how crappy job prospects are? And now things are opening up a bit!

Sure mgmt isn't perfect and neither are the unions but what company anywhere is perfect? Seriously. There's good and bad to everything! Also the the Snohomish EMT union is separate from the dispatchers and Pierce county EMTS which is a whole other discussion..

Most of us just want to use this as a stepping stone to get experience so we can move on and this is a great opportunity for everyone IMO.
