Hey everyone,

I just landed an interview with Pro-Transport. It'll be my first interview for an EMT job, and I'm wondering; should I expect to take a skills/knowledge test during the interview? Just want to make sure I'm fully prepared.

Thanks in advance

not sure about pro-transport but in general, yes you should be prepared. expect a nremt-esque written and a simple trauma or medical assessment.

nope! just answer a few questions and hear back after a day or so if you got the job. JW whered you apply?
if you do get hired you have to take a bunch of protocol tests and ICS before you can start FTO but worry about the interview first

I had to take an online test before I interviewed.

No skill tests.

They sent me a link for ICS 100, 200, and NIMS 700.

I was hired for the Santa Clara station (station 61) so I was suppose to take 1 more day of in class training which ended with an open book protocol test.

Thanks for the reply, guys. That was a big help. Angel, to answer your question, I applied in Oakland, ca. Going to the interview in Richmond.

oh youre pretty lucky. all those places are pretty close together so you could bounce around station to station if you really wanted to.

I interviewed at Pro-Trans a few years ago. Had a quick sit down interview, just the basic stuff... They offered me a job within a week, but I'd already picked up a job with a different company. Just make sure that you keep your goals in sight and know that your job there is just a stepping stone toward a bigger and better career. Transport companies are a good way to get your foot in the door and get "basic experience", but you don't want to make them your actual career path.
