Chicago volunteer work

Hey everyone,
My brother is relocating to chicago in September to attend grad school and was wondering if there are any volunteer oportunities for EMT-B in the city or close to it (he won't have a car and will be relying on public transportation). Thanks for any info.

Have him register for this below.. also if he looks into hospital websites many show when they are in need of volunteers and that can be a foot in the door for him as well to meet others.

We are seeking the following medical professionals: Attending Physician, Resident, EMT, RN, DPM, PT, and ATC. It is the responsibility of each individual to make sure his/her license is active. The Chicago Marathon will verify the validity of Illinois licenses via the Illinois Division of Professional Regulation. Out-of-state licenses must be mailed or faxed to the Chicago Marathon office, Attn: Medical Volunteer Program, by September 23, 2011.
