When did WA start using numbers for EMTs? My mother found her EMT cert back when she was an EMT-Ambulance (they did surgical crics back then at her level!) She couldn't find any cert number on the paper.

The Cert states:

EMERGENCY MEDICAL TECHNICIAN
This is to certify that
Sue Ewing
has successfully completed the course
"EMERGENCY MEDICAL TECHNICIAN - AMBULANCE"
Dated: December 31, 1978

I don't know about Washington, but I would think they would have numbered them for record keeping. I know NREMT has always numbered them, even when I took NREMT in '77.

Course Completion

Jordan, it doesn't sound like her EMT-A cert, it sounds more like her course completion. My course completion sounds pretty close to that, from 2003, but it doesn't have a Registry Number, the registry number should be on her actual EMT Cert issued by the Department of Health, Office of Emergency Medical Services and Trauma System, and starts out as
This certifies that the person named hereon is authorized as provided by law as a XXX-X

Name/Address/City

Registry Number
