    Vehicle Roll Over

I'm not surprised,Foothill is a dangerous road. You were lucky. Just a few years ago a similar accident happened and all 4 passengers died.

This is pretty much what I said to my friends that I worked side by side with that night and, also, to those who witnessed it. So 100% true. Only people that have been through this type of incident understand. To this part, I don't know what made me stay at the accident scene and help while so...

    California 200

I was surprised by the amount of EMS personnel there. I remember multiple EMT's, a couple Medics, and even a Army Combat Medic who was at the race on leave. Do you know when the JEMS report is supposed to be coming out? Do know know anything about what its going to be about?

I don't come on this site often but I just happened to check this forum today... I was also on the scene with you. I was one of the spectating EMT's there watching the race and was even set to do lap #4 in a 1400 truck. Me and a large group of my race team, including a buddy and myself who...

Stretched ears in the EMS profession

I am surprised that you are even allowed to have plugged ears. A kid in my classes was dropped because he had them and chose keeping them over getting them surgically repaired.

    EMT-B Students!!!

Just passed my Practicals and got my completion cert. It says EMT-I on it but i thought I was in a EMT-B class...I should probably look into that. Everyone in my classes cert says EMT-I, but we all thought we were in a EMT-B class.

    EMT-B Students!!!

It gets easier over time. At least that's what I have heard. Personally the thing that bugged me about it is how little I actually cared. I defiantly felt bad for the PT's wife who was in the room but I don't feel bad that the PT died. I am fairly emotionally reserved but I figured I would be at...

How many survived your EMT class?

Started with 30, ended with 14. My teacher is known for her high attrition rate.

    Any Airforce medics or Firefighters?

Sounds like I was misinformed. I apologize for spreading incorrect info. I was told by 2 different recruiters that I would have to repeat EMT if I enlisted and not to bother with medic school. Sounds like I should get a third opinion... shawnandmindy- Do you mind if I PM you with a few...

    Any Airforce medics or Firefighters?

Just a little heads up, The USAF doesn't care what previous training or education you have. They wont pick a paramedic over someone who has no medical training. If you are dead set on USAF dont bother getting your EMT/Medic certs. Just get them while you are enlisted.

    whats your motivation?

I am one of those people that likes to always be prepared. Call it paranoid, nerdy, ridiculous, what ever you want, but knowing how to help someone and prevent or treat injury is why I enjoy it. I stay motivated because I enjoy it. Oh and chicks dig it ^_^
