    EMT-B Atlanta

That's when I came into Grady about 2 years ago I know paramedic was 20$ not sure about emt, they have been doing layoffs because of the Medicare thing that's been going around. And hiring people back but at a low pay scale. So a lot of people left because they didn't know if their job was...

Yeah Grady did as well but we couldn't come up with an agreement. I worked part time with AMR for a while. But I had to get out it wasn't my cup of tea you were practically fires mule and nothing more.

Oh wow at least your not alone, I felt like if a big accident were to happen the news would be in the topic on why we were running L&S for a stubbed toe. But i heard it was in the Dekalb county contract and that contract is very interesting.

Yeah it's not fun to tech every call, I bet people will burn out more quickly. And also if your looking into AMR they run every call with lights and sirens. Splinter in your leg, you get lights and sirens. I don't know any other place in Georgia that does that. It's kinda ridiculous.

One thing about amr in Dekalb for EMT's you will just be a driver for 911, you won't run any calls. I really feel sorry for those people, and the medics as well.

For the Atlanta area I know for grady its 20$ for paramedic and I think around 16$ for emt, they also do shift differentials.

    Anyone working for Boston EMS?

I'm used to working double medic trucks and I do enjoy it because were are both on the same level. I have no problem runnin back to back calls, I'm not a big fan of just sitting there for long hours. I guess it must be coming from where I work at we run back to back and you better either pray to...

    Anyone working for Boston EMS?

Yeah I understood that with Boston as it said that you have to be a resident at the time of the academy within 6 months. My goal was to apply and make sure I had the job before I went up there. I'm not the type person to just move and then look for a job.

Neglect never crossed my mind, with the whole crowd around it looked like she was well liked they were all yelling asking if she was okay and that she felt cold, it was a low income apartment complex and not many have access to the best heath care. But I know she did go to the doctor because of...

Yeah sepsis came to my mind as well, it was just the story from the family saying she was normal today or 10 minutes ago that had me thinking it was something acute, but hey they could be lying. But also wouldn't she be hot, and diaphoetic if it were sepsis?. And about metabolic acidosis I read...
