    USA to AUS

Keep in mind, clinical training is for the most part is significantly higher here in Aus, its a dual paramedic crew (with Intensive care, Extended Care and Phyiscians also utilized in NSW and most other states) Just hope you can deal with the universal healthcare here and can let go of Cigna :P

    Paramedic TV shows

This was before the change over, before Regular Paramedics held Zoll M series, the ICP's and ECP's had the Lifepak 12's. During the filming/just after, all couple thousand or so monitors in the service were uniformly changed to Lifepak 15's. With the change over telemetry data connections were...

    Paramedic TV shows

Maybe we're just a little bit more "laid back" here then you guys and your patients are in the states. Perhaps something to do with the patient not worrying over the hospital bill and only the mundane ambulance bill (if they didnt opt for a $40 a year sub or arent pensioners) under our...

    Paramedic TV shows

Sort of, youre back in class after that 8 weeks for more training and you don't become a qualified "Paramedic" until 3 years after youre first on road. Then you can apply to undertake intensive care and extended care scat/rescue chopper training etc. not many are accepted directly in the route...

    Australia recruiting international paramedics

Not that I know of. Our emergency departments here are near exclusive located in "public hospitals" and are staffed by RN's, EN's, Nurse practitioners and Doctors. Also keep in mind the paramedics here are paid significantly better and there is no "massive chunk" of health deductibles taken out...

    Paramedic TV shows

I reckon, i found the premier epp of the recruits show, it would be interesting if you post back any things you find different here (complete paramedic staffing, universal healthcare and we have 1 government run ambulance service covering the entire state) compared to your system...

    Australia recruiting international paramedics

Well it is like NSW and most of Aus, private companies do mainly event coverage (if St John volunteers don't cover it) and very few IFT. only the statutory ambulance service (ie ASNSW (govt) here or St John in WA) can respond to 000 calls.

    Australia recruiting international paramedics

Remember our systems here are near exclusive paramedic. So anything less than a EMT-I with much experience wouldn't be considered, I'd think. Our Ambulance systems are very different from the US. it's near complete "offline" I.e w/o med control, I'm guessing youd have to be quite confident, that...

    Paramedic TV shows

I think it was a pretty good show aswell. The ASNSW is moving towards a degree entry now, they still have direct entry but for not long. I think UTAS in sydney offers a 3 year paramedicine degree with prac on top of that, dont quote me though :P The shows called "Recruits: Paramedics"...

    Paramedic TV shows

    Internships/Ride Alongs/Sit-Ins in Australia

Florida EMT, I would say that your chances of getting a ride along with the state statutory ambulance service in Melbourne (victoria), Ambulance Victoria is near zero. Each state has one single state wide ambulance service "run" publicly by each respective state and their state health...

    Motorcycle Paramedics

I meant "generally" :P when someone does call 000, they are very likely to recive a ALS response from a statutory ambulance serivice (except in rural areas like you said where they will in the long run  LAS also employ rapid response push bikes aswell right? Kind of like St John...
