I quit smoking 7 years 12 days ago. I still want one every now and again. I still go out to the smoking area at work with the "puffers" and I know it is hard but worth it. My kids are not exposed to smoke in my home or vehicles.

Here in our little area of the commonwealth EMT-B's can use the epi pen with online-medical control. weather it is the pts. or not.

Alot of the problem goes to Taxes and who will pay the bill. If they place the Pt. into custudy then the County/City/Town will have to pay the Hospital bill. If not then the Pt. pays the bill. Its a money thing. Atleast that is the problem here in Va. Overall it sucks. ( I miss the Sand Bags on...

good Thread. The main thing I look at when treating a Pt. with Shortness of Breath is How they feel and how they react. That is if they are awake of course.

Try BINGO. If you can get the help, it is wonderful. If you can't get help you will go broke. Also car shows do well in some parts of Virginia, also Golf tourn.

I have yet to see anyone state the most obvious way to know that you are in and that is to WATCH THE TUBE PASS THRU THE CORDS.

The problem with being a volly in North Carolina is you can only maintain your Paramedic if you are in a Paramedic Service. And Paramedic Volly services are few and far between in NC. But look into South Carolina which is very close to Charlotte.

You will find out that most of the nurses that treat you nice are the ones with an EMS back ground or have worked mostly in the ED. But like Guardian said Don't give in and give them the same treatment back.

I to would like to see the studys. Not that I don't think this is true but just to read it. As you very well know things in ems changes every day.
