I found Dr. Dale Durbin's "Rapid Interpretation of EKGs" to be helpful with cardiology. A good pathophys book is handy to have around if it is not part of your program's required books. I also made a good bit of use out of a current nursing drug guide.

Doh! Sorry for the late reply.
The monitor simulator, where you can defib, pace, cardiovert, &c. is called 'ECG Rhythm', that is an iPad app. There was not an Android equivalent by that name on the Google Play Store.
'ECGRhythyms' is the one that tests you over a variety of basic...
Probably too late to help you out, but perhaps will help others going forward. Below is a link to the NREMT advanced level skill sheets, basically what you are scored against. If what you have been taught differs dramatically from the skill sheet I would go by the skill sheet. Be sure and check...
They are pretty quick with getting results back. For my Basic I took it mid-morning and had results online later that afternoon.
Took my Paramedic on Wednesday afternoon (stopped at 80, passed) had results the next morning, and received my certificate and card in the mail today.
I use the Medscape app frequently. Great for researching drugs, diseases and conditions, and came in very handy when having to write up differentials. ECG Rhythms is not bad for learning basic dysrhythmias. And Speed Anatonmy is pretty fun to keep up with basic anatomy.
Looked into ACLS/BLS...
I'll second the Ultrascope. I had one with the clear acrylic with design underneath, that was close to $100, but ended up giving it to a friend. I now have their less costly version, the Maxiscope, which was just under $50 with shipping. I have noticed no difference in sound quality with the...
One thing I have learned from personal experience is that sliding nylon gets hot.
Aggressive application of front brake and newly painted left turn arrow did not mix well. Walked away unscathed except for a nice little burn right where I slid.
Aerostich, the maker of my jacket, suggests...
We used Fisdap at school, a web based tool for scheduling and logging clinical hours. It also has some study tools, and a test similar to the NREMT (which we had to take and pass as part of the curriculum). Supposedly if you can pass the Fisdap test there is something like a 90%+ chance you will...
AHA dosing, which I believe would be valid for the NR, is 160-325mg PO. Pt needs to be able to chew and swallow the ASA with none of the contraindications you have already mentioned.
FISDAP is the bane of my clinical experience. Personally, I find it a very non-intuitive and frustrating data entry system for inputing my clinical data. In another life I designed data entry systems for a living, for users that did nothing but do data entry all day every day. I would have been...
