dang my paramedic school is over now cuz of stupid acls algarythems......
crap. i miss interperated 3 rythems in the skills check off and that was it, have a nice day, can test for intermediate if i want to now but dang this sucks,
thats what my understanding was that there were probably countless medics applying and only a few spots, its deffinity an intrest later in my career but at the moment i just have to take one step at a time, reason for topic was just some insite of how difficult it was to get into after...
i remember my first day of basic class and it seamed as if everyone said that their future goal was to be flight( except me, i just wanted to get through basic first, funny how most of those flight hopefulls failed) anyway just wondering what a realistic chance there is at doing the whole flight...
we really didnt do much our first day, take ur book just in case, and a pen. you will have to fill out some papers for the schools liability issues among other stuff, and maybe your cpr card if you have one..... anyway other than that it should be just an orientation to the class type thing...
thats what the medics said, we did get base line vitals but that was pretty much it and transported, just been wondering since if we might have not handled the situation correctly but obviously not much we could do in prehospital setting
during clinicals in basic had a call for severe rectile bleedind, well we got there and the patient apparently had a history of it(dont remember the cause) so we just took his word for it and transported, now i didnt personally want to look at his butt...... but was that the correct thing...
71 questions and took mine late on a friday so i was stessed all weekend but thankfully i passed, i later asked my teacher what all the fuss was about because i thought it was rather simple.. just must have been my day...... it was my basic exam btw
