Do I have to re-take the coursework??

I took and passed the NREMT in 2010, but have let my certification expire. I can find none of my records and cannot log-in to nremt.org (used military email that I can no longer access).

My question(s): can I just re-take the test and "show proficiency" during 12 hours of hands-on training?

And/or: am I eligible to take one of the "refresher courses?"

OR: does the fact that I took the test "once-upon-a-time" (and passed) not matter at all?

Even if ya'll can point me in the correct direction to research this I would appreciate it. I feel like I'm falling down the rabbit-hole trying to figure this out.

Thanks!

apologies if this is the wrong place for this question; still figuring out the forum rules

I believe you will need to retake the class and then re test because it has been over two years since your certification lapsed.

Per the National registry all you need to do is take a refresher course. If you are a Emt basic you need to take a refresher and do a skills verification.

After you do the refresher then you take the Nremt written and practical.

I let my Emt basic Nremt expire 7 years ago and just got it back this year in May.
