MORENO VALLEY COLLEGE program?

Hello, I will be attending the spring 2014 Emt training course at Moreno valley college but it is held at the Ben Clark training center.

I would like to get some insight as to how the class works and your experience with it if you attended. just to get a feel of the course.

Hello, I believe it was a good program for the price we pay. Its academy style so you wear a uniform and march and raise the flag on class day. My professor was cool young paramedic for cal fire and all the skills instructors are active or retired fire medics. There is a lot of knowledge for you to pick just by asking. Lastly if there is a medic program running at the same time you get assigned a a medic student mentor. There is a test every week which you need to avarge an 80 but all you have to do is read the book and you will pass.

Oh yea once you pass the class take the registry the very next week you have a better chance pf passing it. Im an EMT for cole Schaefer nowand I graduated in june of this year.

Thanks for the info. I'm going to the orientation in January. How do they determine who gets accepted into the class? Is it based on registration date? Also, do you have any of your books, etc that your might want to sell? Thanks again !!!

Good luck with that I was a late register so I didnt go to the orientation. I also dont know what the process is for placement. As far as the books you will need: theAAOS EMT book, moreno valley EMT manual, EMT success book, and the seven habits for highly successful people. I dont need the seven habits or the EMT succes, but the rest ima keep them for reference. Im always reading them just to stay sharp in the field. Pm for the details.
