I'm going back to school next year for nursing and looking to find a flexible part time job. Between a 1 month accelerated course near me and the fact that it would help on future jobs becoming an EMT seems like a great choice. After looking though this site though it seems like there might be more people looking to do the same then there are jobs.

Are there really any part time EMT-B jobs to be had in Ventura Country or the western part of San Fernando valley? I've checked the AMR website and only see a few openings for Paramedics. I'm not sure if openings just come in cycles or if I should come up with another plan.

Gold Coast had part-time but takes about 1 year to get a call back from them once you apply. I hear its the same for AMR and Lifeline.

Simi11, we are hiring in your area. Job is per diem. You can work as little or as much as you want. The great thing about what we do it that you are doing more than just IFTs. You are always 1st on scene and how the call gets handled is at your discretion.

Please complete our online application if you are interested. www .medicsontheball .com / job-openings / job-application /

Your chances of getting hired increase for Gold Coast or AMR if you are female, they have a bunch of female EMTs. I hear you gotta suck up to their CPR people to get a chance, a chance to drive around in a ambulance that has a hospital logo all over it. Lifeline, no idea. Those guys have probably 4 ambulances...
