finally got through with NREMT after 2 hrs....for whats its worth: I just need a 24hr refresher with skills lab and take and pass the NREMT national exam.
Hello,
I am not sure if the is the correct place to post, I hope it is.
My situation is the following: I got my EMT-B in 2010, renewed in 2012. I did not renew in 2014. From reading NREMT, it says "If your National EMS Certification lapsed as an Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) within a two...
Thank you, I noticed you have several posts about LV EMS....now I know why LVFR and AMR or MW shows up to every call! And I always wondered how they decided who would transport (I worked abroad for many years, and there would literally be fights to determine who transported), so thanks.
Hello,
I am fairly new to Las Vegas, will be working as a nurse. I am an EMT-B working on paramedic. I would like to also work on an ambulance in addition to RN job. I see MedWest, AMR, Community Ambulance, and the Fire dept providing services.
Anybody here have anything to say about those...
I dont recall my test being heavy on any particular subject. You can be tested on anything that is in your text book. The only safe studying prep would be studying the entire book, know all of it. In fact I do remember being tested on extremely minute details about things, plus scenarios etc...

I dont know much about it. Call them for info. Are you thinking about taking the course? Are you an international student? By reading the description one could be confused. It says it is good for international students, yet at the same time says that the course is completed within 2 semesters so...
My first day was as follows:
I was working abroad because I wanted to get out of the US for a while. I got a job within a week of looking and after spending about 1 hour getting to know my new coworkers we got a call of a female in respiratory arrest....btw, I was on an ALS ambulance....its a...
Well Im glad everyone's response to my post has been positive. Like I said, I don't have any internal conflicts with whether or not I want to be a paramedic, because I know I want to. but I was a bit worried about the job market although now I am not nearly as worried after reading all of the...
I agree that you should get a degree in what interests you, that way if anything happens and everything doesnt go according to the plan, you will have a degree and opportunities in a field that you like. I have a "friend" that is an admissions board member for a PA school. She says that, the...
