I've been a wildland firefighter for over 10 yrs now...started with Park Service and am now with Forest Service. It is not my main job but collateral duties. I have never been dispatched as an EMT on a large fire (prefer to go out as Helitack or Archaeologist) but have been first responder (since for local fires we don't have medical director can't claim to be EMT) for my District here at the Forest Service and previously with the Park Service.

So you have experience in field support? There used to be active threads about cooling and "rehab" for wildland firefighters.
I used to support ground and flying units in field exercises (Air Nat Guard) and am former firefighter.
